Commercial Oven Range

With a huge range of commercial oven range on the market it is fair to say that the oven range is still a key component of any commercial kitchen. There are many many models available with a wide offering from CS Catering Equipment from the gas ranges such as the Parry P6B0 and the Imperial IR6 and of course there are the electric oven ranges such as the Lincat ESLR9c and the Blue Seal E9311. These units are a key piece of equipment offering both hob and oven space. However it is always good practice to keep an eye on the unit to make sure it is running efficiently and not costing you more than you need to spend. The following are some useful maintenance points as far as oven ranges are concerned.

Ensure the unit is clean inside, encrusted or burnt on food inside the oven are a safety risk and may affect the ovens efficiency.


If any of the controls of the unit seem to be getting particularly hot get them checked out, it may be that there is heat escaping from somewhere meaning the unit is not running as well as it could do, this could be caused by a faulty seal.


The flame within any gas oven should be an efficient one, an efficient flame will always burn blue with no yellow. If there is yellow in your flame then this is a sign it is not working properly and should be checked by a qualified engineer.


Ensure all door seals are a snug fit so you are not losing any heat, if required replace any damaged seals.
