Chester based hotel voted best in the UK
A Chester hotel has been voted the best in the UK according to a recent review of some of the top establishments across Europe.
The list was compiled by Expedia.com, the world’s largest online travel company. The Chester Grosvenor and Spa was listed in 11th place overall in Expedia’s Insiders’ Select List for the world’s best hotels. The results took account of a number of factors including quality of food, accommodation and service, as well as value for money.
Its eleventh-placed finish meant that The Chester Grosvenor and Spa was the top-placed UK hotel on Expedia’s list. Managing director of the hotel, Jonathan Slater, was overwhelmed by its success, but attributed the hotel’s high placing to the hard work of its staff and the unique experience that guests can expect to feel.
Mr Slater said “We work hard to provide guests with the best possible service to ensure they have the best experience during their stay with us … We are so proud to have been voted as the best hotel in the UK by our guests – as they really are the ones who matter most to us.”
The list that emerged was a result of over one million Expedia customers’ value ratings for each establishment, and the opinions of 400 of Expedia’s own marketing managers. The news is excellent for the Grosvenor, as the Expedia website is host to millions of travellers every year.
Praise must also go to The Galaxy Iraklio Hotel in Crete which came first on the list. Of course we know that none of these hotel’s would of got anywhere without decent catering equipment.
