Market leaders for over 70 years, Zeroll are considered to be the inventors of the first modern ice cream scoop.

Sherman Kelly of Toldeo, Ohio was responsible for designing the first modern scoop. Developing a product that was cast from aluminium, with fluid inside the handle. This unique design transferred heat from the user's hand, and therefore warmed the fluid, which in turn defrosted the ice cream dipper.

With no breakable parts, the popularity of the first Zeroll product soared, with newer variants updated as the company has aged.
