A salamander grill is a high temperature overhead grill, which the food is placed beneath using a removable rack. It uses an open-front design, so it's very fast and efficient to add and remove food from the grill.
Because of their design, they can fulfill a variety of roles in any kitchen. They usually force heat downwards onto the food, ideal for keeping food warm, browning a topping or cooking. As they're usually quite compact units, they can be fitted high up, on shelves or above other catering equipment, making better usage of your kitchens floorspace.
