Ingredients

  • 115g Butter
  • 115g Dark Chocolate
  • 3 Eggs
  • 35g Plain flour
  • 150g Caster sugar

This recipe makes four cups

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to a toasty gas mark 6/180°C.
  2. Select your cups and lightly grease them before popping them onto a baking tray. We’ll get back to those later one.
  3. Over a low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together in a pan, ensuring that the chocolate does not stick to the bottom, until the mixture is fully dissolved.
  4. In a separate bowl whisk the eggs, flour and sugar before folding in the melted chocolate.
  5. Pour the mixture out, evenly, between your cups and then place them into the oven for 15 minutes.
  6. To serve these little delights, simply remove them from the oven, sit them on a saucer and then put them on the table ready to eat!

With the gorgeous chocolate smell wafting around, slightly firm on top and gooey centre, these teacup puddings are sensational and they taste even better with some cream, custard or even a scoop of your favourite ice cream as an accompaniment.

A quick look on the internet brings up tons of variations on this recipe, so if you aren’t a chocolate fanatic then you can tailor these dinky puddings to suit your needs. Banana, caramel, passion fruit or coffee, it doesn’t matter!
