Every single year on the 20th of October we celebrate the culinary innovators around the World with International Chefs Day.

Organised by the World Association of Chef Societies, over 103 member organisations around the world take part in this special day by hosting workshops and activities for hundreds of thousands of children in a bid to improve eating habits and teach important life cooking skills!

Supported by many of the manufacturers we as catering suppliers stock, we are proud to provide UK based Chefs with all the kit they need to create culinary marvels.

We are constantly inspired to find the perfect products to help chefs and caterers make the most amazing food, and we will be celebrating International Chef Day like we all should, by eating some really good food!

By encouraging and educating the next generation of potential chefs, workshops will take place all over the planet with the theme being selected as ‘Art on a Plate’.

This opportunity to teach children about the healthy eating, whilst letting them get creative with food is light-years away from the age old “don’t play with your food” threat that I’m sure those of us will have heard at some point in our lifetime!

Let’s encourage our young people to play and experiment with their food to find mixes, recipes and concoctions that we would never even dream of.

Children learn best through taking part in fun and creative activities, not just flat lectures on what food is good and what food is bad.
