Spooky Halloween Sausage Mummies.

Easy-peasy and tasty Halloween fun.

  • Oil for greasing
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard plus extra to decorate
  • 12 chipolatas
  • Tube of ready to roll croissant pastry (check the chiller cabinets in the super markets)

Heat oven up to gas mark 6 aprox 200 degrees C.

Brush down 2 baking trays with oil.

Mix together the honey ketchup and mustard into a bowl and roll all 12 chipolatas so they have a thin coating.

Unroll the croissant dough and divide into 3 rectangles.

Pinch together the diagonal perforated seams then cut into long thin strips.

Next the fun part- get the kids involved, wrap each chipolata up in its own string of croissant bandaging, leave a slit for the eyes.

Once they are all done place them on a greased baking tray pop in thew oven for 20 minutes.

Rescue them out of the oven and for the finishing touch dot with mustard eyes and smear with ketchup blood if you’re feeling particularly ghoulish.

Enjoy and happy Halloween!
